1937 Art Deco Cottage

White stucco on San Marino Island, its wall niches still carrying the cast letters that name the house. Terrazzo runs through the rooms in pale grey and blue, walls are birch panel or plain plaster, and the glass gives straight onto bamboo and fern.

The furniture is mid century and allowed to be loud: coral fibreglass armchairs at a marble table, an orange cone chair, a mint green refrigerator. Outside, a long dark pool sits in clipped grass behind a screen of metal cylinders.
